Skin should be clean and moisturized prior to any makeup appointment. No SPF or vitamin C should be used prior to application. SPF could cause the possibility of flashback in pictures, and vitamin C is known to not mix so well with foundation, causing it to roll up. In best cases, skin should be clean, exfoliated, and moisturized. I recommend scheduling facial appointments as early as a year to six months out from your big event to ensure your skin is in top condition for makeup application.
